Customer Comments

I picked up one of these for a relative who wanted a small and nothing fancy Blu-ray and DVD player. The LG is a simple no frills player, no smart functions here (wired or wireless), just a normal player but with the addition of a front USB port which is handy to have for USB sticks and hard drives.

Pros:
+ Small size for a Blu-ray player about 27cm wide and 20cm deep approx it's a good bit smaller than most players
+ Picture and sound quality are good with 1080p Upscaling for DVD's doing a decent job too
+ Drive is fairly quiet in operation (unlike some makers I've used)
+ Front USB can be used for Hard drives and USB sticks to play other media it supports most common file formats audio and video: Xvid, MP4, MKV, WMV, AVCHD etc (you can also play MP3/WMA music files off a disc) as well as photos

Cons:
- Nothing fancy here..if you want a smart player look somewhere else, (no LAN no browser)
- No supplied HDMI cable, these are cheap enough but makers should start putting them in the box

HDD support is for drives up to 1TB. Region 2 player so bear this in mind if you have multi region discs.

Output is HDMI only nothing else, you do get a remote included... the front panel of the player has only a few controls (power on/off and disc eject/load) Blu-ray discs took about 15-20 seconds to load, not bad for a budget player though not as fast as some higher priced models.

Both sound and picture quality are good, even DVD's looked sharp on a full HD TV.
For a fairly low cost smaller budget player the LG fits the bill quite nicely.

Very easy to install via a HDMI cable to TV, simple, plug into mains job done, turn on by remote, 30 second setup, then ready to go. Very compact, well impressed 10 inches wide by about one & half inch high, no noise when playing a DVD disc the picture is amazing & the small remote is well easy to use.
It has a USB port at the front of the unit to allow remote media playing, I plugged in a portable hard drive & it plays the videos perfectly, well easy to scroll through videos via DVD menu.
