Before I ordered this I'd caught 4 mice in one week. As soon as I plugged this in, we never heard or saw any mice after that. I see a few reviews saying that it didn't work for them at all, and I find it very hard to believe. I would recommend following the instructions to the letter, as there are different frequency settings, and only one of them works for mice, which is maybe why it never worked for others.
So glad I purchased this. Have recommended it to everyone I know who mentions a mouse problem.
Also, the other frequency repels insects and spiders, which is never a bad thing!

I bought a lesser device from Primrose (the sellers of this advanced device) but that didn't work much at all. I was getting mouse activity every day so I bought this advanced device. Here is what happened.

When i got the device, I plugged it in the room upstairs where there are no mice and I put it on the insects setting rather than the full setting just to see what it would do. The next day, i went into the adjacent room and I saw I wasp trying to get out of the window. This wouldn't phase me normally but to have a wasp in your house in October seemed really odd. I put it down to the device.

The next day I put it downstairs in the dining room where the majority of mouse activity was and changed it to the strongest setting as recommended in the instructions ie. the setting for rodents. I don't want to speak too soon but i haven't seen any activity since.
I see some people have had trouble with their device seemingly having little effect. It can be that the mice are running away from the device and don't know what to do. It can actually increase activity to start off with. This is what happened when i used another device. Or if your mice have young ones, they wont leave them and vacate your house until they are old enough to look after themselves. Sometimes there can be objects blocking the ultra sounds and it may just not be located correctly. That was the case for me for well over a year with a previous device.

The people at primrose are really good. If you email them, they will respond quickly with an answer to your query. Before buying this unit i told them the problems i was having with the previous unit and they told me what to do and they advised me about this unit before i bought it. I have to say they really do know what they are talking about and they will advise you based on your circumstances. They aren't there to get a sale out of you - they just give you the best advice they can I would suggest that if you are having problems that you email them at

They will respond very sound advice.

If you are uncertain about buying this advice speak to them but I would say that its well worth the extra expense and hopefully it will work for you! It seems to be the best i've seen.

I read the reviews before I ordered but decided to ignore the negative ones as there seemed more of positive ones and to be honest I wanted to believe that this item would work.
I followed the instructions to the letter, and for 4 weeks it seemed to be working, no signs of mice!
However, tonight I found a mouse, just causally sat in the middle of our dining room!
Which is actually where the product is plugged in & should work the best.
Of course once the mouse spotted me it shot under the bookcase and now I can't find it. So we're back to square one.

I'm now going to have to find an alternative method. I so wanted this product to work and am disappointed that it hasn't. I don't believe it's a case of not reading the instructions and setting the product up wrong as some reviewers have stated. I've double checked the instructions and it's set up correctly.
So it looks like I've flushed the best part of £20 away on an item that doesn't work on mice.

So does this product work? No, not on mice, however the house has been surprisingly free of spiders & flies since it was plugged in.
